What is Ayurvedic Medicine?

Ayurvedic Medicine is a Combination of Herbal and Dietary Products
Most of us do not know or have not even heard about the ayuvedic medicine .Well we can relate it to medicine for the anonymity of ayurvedic medicine, although the development of modern medicine have been claimed by many, especially the pharmaceutical industry to a great extent for the well being of human kind.
To better understand ayurvedic medicine let’s first look at the origin of word Ayurveda. This is a form of herbal medicine that was introduced in India a long time ago. Ayurveda is derived from two sanskirit words. The first word ‘ayu’ is derived from the word ‘life’ and the other ‘veda’ means science or knowledge. After understanding the meaning of these two words you must then familiarize yourself with the basic idea of ayurvedic medicine.
Ayurvedic medicine follows the natural approach for treating illnesses. It uses a combination of herbal and dietary products for the medication.
The concept of ayurveda is very appealing as it tries to match the health of human body with the balance the universe is in. to fully explain this can take up pages of information, thus I will summarize it in a simpler form by explaining it origin.
It started with the beliefs of a man named “Deepak chopra” . He states that the more we are aware of where everything here in the world comes from the more we will be able to actually find ways to heal ourselves and the planet we live in.
In ayurveda our health is closely linked to the health of our universe. Now I am not a professional on this topic but I do belief that this concept has some truth in it. Think about it, we have been hurting nature with our industrial technologies and pollution which in turn have created new diseases and these specially affect the more deprived part of our population. If we were more in touch with nature, then we would be able to take care of it, thus safeguarding our health as well, hence justifies the concept with which ayurvedic medicine supports.
These are my observations on ayurvedic medicine which may not truly reflect the belief of the experts. Perhaps you can do more research on this topic on your own before you embark into such treatment.
